Goatstown D14 Townhouse
Information about the Goatstown D14 Townhouse project.
This rental property hadn't been upgraded for about 18 years. Sadly, it was time to say goodbye to the pink carpet.
All carpeting was removed and replaced with economical laminate flooring. Décor was kept soft in neutral tones. Continuing the same flooring throughout created a more uniform appearance.
The kitchen had been in situ since the house had been built. It was time for an upgrade.
Within the same footprint we installed brighter units with integrated appliances to include concealing the double bin in a pull out unit. We extended the laminate flooring into this area which worked very well. We opened the kitchen door outwards into the hall which created more usable space within the kitchen.
Another view of the kitchen.
Here we see the integrated appliances opened out. We upgraded the lighting and took away the fussy curtains. Simple and inexpensive. So as not to lose valuable worktop space which would be cut into by a full height fridge / freezer unit, we installed an undercounter larder fridge and separate freezer.
A good bathroom, if a bit dated and tired, with a tub and space for a separate shower.
The same bathroom with a new white suite and simple tiling on the floor, carried up the walls.
