Original open plan kitchen arrangement which made the whole living / dining room appear constantly untidy. The rubbish bin stuck out beside the sofa didn’t help.

We decided to enclose the kitchen and installed opaque glass doors at an angle to allow light to pass through while still screening the kitchen. There is a single door along with an openable side glazed panel which, when opened, creates a more open plan look if and when required. We retained the spacious snack bar worktop inside the new partition to ensure no loss of preparation space.

This kitchen was clearly in need of some TLC.

We completed some repairs and tidied up some units and then completed a simple and inexpensive paint job. We also removed the washing machine from this area and installed it in a newly created separate laundry room. A very effective and substantial improvement for very little outlay; proving the point that a huge financial outlay isn't always necessary.
